This prestigious dinner takes place in the unique surroundings of the 15th century Vicars’ Hall within the Lower Ward of Windsor Castle, where the first performance of Shakespeare’s “The Merry Wives of Windsor” is said to have taken place in the presence of Queen Elizabeth 1. The dinner will be attended by buisness leaders from major Thames Valley organisations and beyond, who will have been attending the Chamber’s renowned “Windsor Debates” conference earlier in the day.
Just 20 places have been released for reservation on a first-come first-served basis as capacity in Vicars’ Hall is restricted by Fire Regulations governing timbered buildings.
One non-member guest per member place booked will be permitted, as this is a rare opportunity to offer meaningful hospitality to a business colleague, particularly one from overseas. Security at Windsor Castle is necessarily tight and all guests will be required to email across a head-and-shoulders image by 3pm August 27th latest in order to comply with security procedures.
SPEAKER
Leo Johnson, Partner, Sustainability and Climate Change team, Pricewaterhouse Coopers; co-founder, Sustainable Finance
Since 2004, Sustainable Finance – now a part of the PricewaterhouseCoopers Group – has advised over 50 international financial institutions around the risks and opportunities of sustainability. Leo Johnson himself has worked since 2003 on the rollout of the Equator Principles, an industry standard for environmental and social due diligence, for which he was awarded the IFC Corporate Award in 2004. He has a reputation as an engaging and controversial speaker, as befits someone with “Johnson” blood in their veins!
GUIDED TOUR
There will be a private, guided tour of St. George’s Chapel at 10:00. Guests will hear about the Chapel’s history, and the British monarchs most closely associated with it.
DEADLINE FOR BOOKINGS AND PAYMENT IS 12.00 PM on August 27th. There can be no exceptions because of security clearance issues.
