Major organisations including Arval, Swindon Borough Council and Thrings are just some of the companies signed up to attend the highly anticipated ‘Made in Swindon’ (MIS) launch. Organised by Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce, the event will take place at Honda of the UK Manufacturing’s world renowned UK car plant.
Showcasing the success of local, regional and international businesses based or founded in Swindon the campaign will showcase the diverse range of exciting, innovative, international and entrepreneurial business in the area.
Jason Smith, Director of Honda of the UK Manufacturing, said: “We are delighted to be hosting the launch of ‘Made in Swindon’. The event is the perfect platform to celebrate the diverse range of businesses in our town. It offers a great opportunity for local businesses to share their successes and ambitions for the future.”
Ginette Gower, Head of Marketing & Communications, Thames Valley Chamber commented: “Response to the campaign has been fantastic and we are being contacted by companies keen to participate. A dedicated page on our website will bring together case studies, hot topics on Swindon news, business tips and thought leadership views as well as details on upcoming events. The campaign will be supported with a comprehensive social media programme. This campaign is part of a bigger ‘Made In’ initiative launched by the Chamber in 2016 to celebrate success across the region.”
An exclusive preview of a video case study with local businesses discussing their individual journeys and showcasing their work will also be unveiled, highlighting the importance of being based in Swindon, which features Honda, Beard Construction and Rendermedia.
Attendees will have the opportunity to not only hear about the MIS campaign and how to get involved but also participate in the popular business networking breakfast, where members of the local business community are invited to bring along pop-up stands and promote their products and services to likeminded companies.
