Work Ready: Turning Potential into Progress Forum

Work Ready: Turning Potential into Progress is a Thames Valley forum hosted by the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Skills Unit as part of the next phase of the Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) for Berkshire and Oxfordshire.

This is a launch event for the new LSIP, bringing together employers, educators, training providers and partners to explore work readiness, work experience, and the challenges faced by young people not in education, employment or training (NEET), as well as graduates moving into the workplace.

This session is a chance to connect, share insights, and talk about what helps people become ready for work, from meaningful work experience and employer expectations to confidence, progression routes and the barriers that can make it harder for people to access or sustain employment.

If you work with employers, learners, graduates, young people or employment support, your input matters. By sharing your experiences, you’ll help shape practical, employer-led action that supports work readiness across the region and informs future LSIP activity.

Please contact Oxfordshire LSIP or Berkshire LSIP to request a space.

If you are unable to attend, please don’t hesitate to get in touch regarding future meetings.
