HR Forum
Our HR Forum brings together senior HR practitioners from our larger members to hear the latest HR trends, share knowledge, learn from first-hand experience, and exchange opinions with other like-minded professionals from across all sectors. Chaired by Ruby Bailey-Knight, Head of People & Culture at Iconic Luxury Hotels, the HR Forum meets quarterly, with their next session hearing from:
Greg Clark – Associate, Employment at BP Collins – Greg will provide an update on the new legislation, which is coming in January as a result of the UK coming out of Europe. He will look at changes to the rules around holiday pay, as well as the forthcoming changes regarding flexible working and the extension of the protected period for maternity and adoption leave, which are being introduced in April 2024.
Professor Nick Kemsley – Director, The Henley Centre for HR & Organisational Capability at Henley Business School – Nick will share some of the key insights from recent research undertaken by Henley Business School which looks at the massive shift in the way in which individuals around the world are interacting with work post-covid. Although there are differences by organisation, sector, and geography there are a number of things which will not go back in the box and to which employers will need to adapt. Henley’s recent research into this looked below the policy details to the wider impact, which was being felt, the challenges and opportunities, what organisations are succeeding at/failing at and the bigger questions raised which are not really being addressed.
