New era for Riverbank IT Management as it rebrands to Air IT

Riverbank IT Management, a Business Alliance member of the Chamber, has announced the retirement of its name and branding after fully integrating with Air IT, effective Wednesday 15th September.

It was initially announced in December 2020 that Air IT had acquired Oxford-based Riverbank, and the two companies have since been working together to integrate their systems and processes. For the final part of this integration, Riverbank has taken on the Air IT name, branding and website. Air IT will retain and update the former Riverbank office at the prestigious Milton Park development in Abingdon, which is ideally located to serve both new and existing clients across the region.

Recently named as one of the UK’s top 3 MSPs, Air IT chose to join forces with Riverbank due to their shared ethos and values. Air IT is keen to solidify its presence and invest in the Thames Valley, continuing to support fellow Chamber members, innovative SMEs and start-ups in the region.

With Air IT’s extra resources, Oxford clients can now benefit from managed services such as Communications and Business Intelligence, in addition to Riverbank’s existing IT and Cyber Security offering. This means the company can now meet all the varying technology needs of their clients under one roof.

Marc Juffkins, Managing Director of Riverbank, said:

“We have been part of the Air IT Group for more than 8 months now and the integration has been an incredibly smooth transition. By combining the knowledge and skillsets of both teams, we have further enhanced the way we work and the service clients receive, proving that we are better as one.”

He added, “After almost 24 years as Riverbank IT Management, it will be a big change but the rebrand marks an exciting new chapter as Air IT, which will create new opportunities for our team and new jobs for local people. Whilst our new look will be quite different, we are pleased to continue providing the same local service by the same team, with no changes to the support we provide for our valued clients.”

John Whitty, CEO of Air IT, said:

“I’m really proud to have introduced the Air IT brand to my hometown of Oxford and we’re excited to work with some of the best businesses in the region. As anticipated, our colleagues at Riverbank have slotted into the Air IT Group perfectly and it’s clear that we are a great fit for one another. We are excited to take this final step in our integration as Riverbank becomes Air IT, and we look forward to a great future working together to deliver unrivalled managed services to the SMEs of Oxford and beyond.”

Air IT announced its seventh and eighth acquisitions – Reading-based MFG UK and Uttoxeter-based INFINITY IT Solutions – just last week, meaning the company now has nine offices across the UK, including its headquarters in Nottingham.
