New College Swindon named as a finalist in the School Leaver Awards 2020

New College is delighted to be one of the finalists in the category for Best Further Education College for Apprentice Training in the 2020 School Leaver Awards.

The awards run each year and finalists are decided by apprentices, who complete anonymous surveys in a number of categories focussing on their employer, working life and training provider. There are also independent awards judged and awarded by a panel, which include: School Leaver of the Year, Best Recruitment Campaign, Most Innovative Recruitment Campaign, Best School Engagement and the Diversity and Inclusion Award. There are two additional awards decided by a student panel, which are Best Website and Best Social Media.

The winners of The School Leaver Awards 2020 will be announced at a black-tie awards ceremony, which is taking place at Grosvenor House, London, on Thursday 3rd September 2020. Chris Baish, Vice Principal – Business Development and Employer Engagement, said: “I am delighted that New College is a finalist in the category for Best Further Education College for Apprentice Training. What makes this particularly special for us is that it has been voted for by the apprentices themselves, which is great recognition for all of the College staff and employers that we work with. It shows that we are consistently going the extra mile to make sure we offer the best possible learning experience.”
