Free family tree trail at Howbery Business Park for half term

Howbery Business Park is inviting families to come into its grounds during the October half term holidays, to try out its new Tree Trail. The initiative is part of the park’s commitment to increasing environmental awareness.

Families will be able to pick up a free Tree Trail pack with map from the Manor Café from 24 to 28 October between 9am and 4pm. The trail goes round eleven of Howbery’s notable trees – a short description of each is with the map. There’s a mini hole puncher by each of the trees to punch the map, and the tree trail pack includes crayons and paper to do some tree rubbings. There’s also a small reward for completing the trail.

The grounds are open until 6pm and are only a short walk via a footpath from Crowmarsh Recreation Ground. There is a bus stop outside the site and ample free parking. Children’s snacks and lunches will be available at the Manor Café during half term week.

The tree trail will be open beyond half term too – a leaflet can be picked up from the café, which is open to the public on working weekdays.
