EY in the Thames Valley celebrates senior promotions

EY has made five senior appointments in Reading as part of the firm’s continued investment in its regional business. The quintet of promotions includes four new equity Partners and one new Associate Partner.

Katie Dallimore-Fox, Ian Dennis, Vaneeta Khurana and Ryan Squires have all been promoted to equity Partners and Jane Musyoki has been promoted to Associate Partner.

Across the UK, EY has strengthened its Partnership with 103 new equity Partners. This includes 65 new Partner promotions, which is the firm’s largest intake of home-grown talent in the last ten years, along with 38 external hires. EY now has 781 Partners across the UK.

The new appointments reflect EY’s increased investment in its sectors, service lines and regional business, including in areas such as financial services, energy and sustainability, and technology, to better support clients at a time of unprecedented change and challenge in the UK and worldwide.

About the new Partner promotions in Reading

Katie joined EY Reading as a qualified executive in the Audit team in 2011. Over the last decade her portfolio has focused on FTSE and fast growth companies across a range of industries, including consumer products, life sciences and biotech and TMT.

Ian Dennis has been with EY since 2006 and after working in the Liverpool, Manchester and New York offices, joined the Reading office in the International Tax and Transactions Service team. Ian’s promotion to Partner will see him continue to work with a range of large multinational companies on cross border tax considerations.

Vaneeta Khurana works in EY’s People Advisory Services team in Reading, having joined the business in 2019. She specialises in advising clients on employment tax issues. In addition to her role at EY, Vaneeta sits on the employment tax technical sub-committee of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT), as well as several HMRC focus groups, consulting on proposed changes to tax legislation and translating what this means for EY and its clients.

Ryan Squires joined EY as a graduate in 2004 and has worked in several EY offices, including international secondments in Australia and the US. He has been promoted to Partner working across two EY offices in Reading and Southampton and works with several South East headquartered PLC clients, including those operating in the Advanced Manufacturing & Mobility and Consumer Products sectors.

Jane Musyoki has been promoted to the role of Associate Partner in the Reading Assurance  team. She began her EY career in Kenya and joined the Reading office as a senior in the Financial Advisory and Accounting Services team (‘FAAS’) in 2009. Jane is experienced in complex financial reporting and technical accounting, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (‘GAAP’), Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR)  and transactions. Jane has worked with FTSE listed businesses as well as large private groups.

Investing in the Thames Valley

Commenting on the promotions, Richard Baker, Office Managing Partner at EY in Reading said: “These latest senior promotions will help to further strengthen our presence across the Thames Valley and South, and the range of services we are able to provide to the clients.

“I am thrilled to be welcoming this year’s new Partner appointments, especially as they are homegrown talent. They reflect a significant investment in our people and our business as we build sustainable long-term growth and support our clients as they rebuild post-pandemic.

“I’d like to congratulate Katie, Ian, Vaneeta, Ryan and Jane on reaching this significant career milestone and look forward to continuing to work with them to build our capabilities in the region.”
