Berkshire Youth is delighted to announce the appointment of three new trustees to its board: Jo Halliday, Tamzin Evershed and Guy Constant.
• Jo Halliday was Executive Headteacher at Theale Green School which transformed into a rapidly growing and successful school under Jo’s leadership. Previously, she led a school in South Oxfordshire for several years. Before entering education, Jo also spent ten years in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Guy Constant is a solicitor who has been practicing in Reading for over 30 years. Guy has previously led the recruitment and training for his firm’s graduate program over the past 20 years.
• Tamzin Evershed is a solicitor and global General Counsel for Honeywell’s Cyber and Connected Industrials business. Prior to joining Honeywell, Tamzin was Chief Privacy Officer at American Express Global Business Travel. Tamzin brings to the Board over 27 years of professional experience from leadership roles and senior positions at major law firms.
Sarah Atkinson, Chair of the Board of Trustees, said: “We are delighted to welcome Jo, Tamzin and Guy to Berkshire Youth. Their range of skills and experience further strengthens our board in many areas. Young people need us now more than ever. We have to continue to evolve our services and offerings as well as better engage local organisations and the business community to further support young people, their families and communities in Berkshire. Everyone has a role to play in helping young people today.”
Jo Halliday has lived in Berkshire for over 30 years. Jo brings a unique blend of commercial and educational experience. Jo commented, “I am determined that all children should have equity of opportunity and I am delighted to be able to support Berkshire Youth in their mission.”
Sandhurst based Tamzin Evershed commented, “I was looking for an opportunity to use my skills and experience and do something that would benefit and make a tangible difference for young people.”
Guy Constant, who lives in Reading, states, “Young people are our future, and I am looking forward to collaborating with the team at Berkshire Youth to help young people be the best they can be”.
Berkshire Youth Chief Executive, Sarah Emery, added: “This is a very exciting time for Berkshire Youth, and I am in no doubt that the new trustees’ expertise and enthusiasm will help us to continue to develop our organisation over the next few years, ensuring we progress our offer to young people and communities across Berkshire.”
