The popular Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Business Awards return on June 27th hosted by Brendan Cole.
Britain’s best loved dancer, Brendan is a charming and energising entertainer. Born and raised in Christchurch, New Zealand, Brendan started dancing at the age of 6. At 18 he moved to London, to further his studies and to embark on a dancing career. To support himself and his burgeoning dance ambitions, Brendan worked as a warehouseman, an insurance broker, and a builder! Eventually, in 1999, his dreams came true and he turned professional. Brendan has now appeared in all series of BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, winning the first series in the Spring of 2004, and was seen dancing up a storm with partner Kelly Brook in series 5.
The Business Awards is one of the flagship events for the Chamber and builds on last years’ spectacular event on the 29th June at the Hilton Hotel, Reading. The evening will celebrate and recognise the talents, innovation and entrepreneurship of companies from across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Swindon.
Major organisations are supporting the Awards, which will showcase the best of the Thames Valley, reinforcing why the region is home to one of the most resilient and successful business communities in the country.
Paul Britton, CEO at the Chamber commented: “The Chamber Awards celebrate the achievements and hard work of local businesses large and small. During these challenging economic times the Awards provide energy, profile and confidence to all involved. We are always excited to have the opportunity to make this happen, it is a huge boost for our members and the Chamber team.
“We are delighted that Brendan will be the host of the 2024 Awards, and we look forward to welcoming him on the 27th of June. It promises to be another great occasion”.
