Our Japanese Partner Chamber – Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI)

For over 10 years, Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce has had a close working partnership with the Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the Kansai Region in Japan, the second largest economy in Japan, and includes many famous large cities such as Osaka, Kobe and Kyoto.

Specific industry clusters including energy, life sciences, Internet of Things and AI as well as established links with academic institutions ensures Thames Valley and Kansai regions have similar aspirations to strengthen international activities through solid partnerships.

The strong relationship between them culminated in a Memorandum of Understanding of Trade & Investment co-operation, signed between the Chamber and OCCI in October 2014, resulting in trade delegations visits and new business opportunities arising.
