The Youth Adventure Trust super heroes really stepped up last Sunday and through fundraising and donations an amazing £13,412 was raised – enough to support 40 young people through online one to one mentoring for 10 weeks.
There were people ‘stepping up’ by walking 26,000 steps, climbing 2,600 ft on their stairs and doing 2,600 step ups in their garden as well as a 2.6 hour sponsored silence, 26 guitar intros to guess, a 26 obstacles course and a 2.6 hour ‘swingball by starlight’ challenge. People were bouncing into action on trampolines and the mentoring team ‘cooked up a storm’ with a virtual cook off from page 26 of their favourite recipe book. There was cycling, swimming, running, walking and, in true YAT spirit, tree climbing!
