Thomas Franks named as one of the UK’s Best Places to Work by The Sunday Times

Thomas Franks, the UK’s leading family-owned catering partner, has been named one of the UK’s Best Places to Work by The Sunday Times.

They are remarkably proud of their people globally, and to have been recognised as a company that places kindness at the heart of its ethos is a great honour. Food is sourced from local and independent, family-owned suppliers to reduce food miles and support local enterprise, every member of staff is offered a personalised training programme, and The Thomas Franks Foundation has donated more than 3.5 million meals to people at risk of food poverty.

Frank Bothwell, Founder and CEO of Thomas Franks, said: “I am proud and humbled that The Sunday Times has included us on their Best Places to Work list. As I travel across the business, clients and colleagues regularly ask about my passion and my drive. They expect me to say food of course, but the answer is always people.

I love the people that work in this business; hearing their stories and watching them thrive. Our sector has many amazing, talented people working in it but I truly believe that Thomas Franks has always had – and will always have – the very best.”

Vicky Freeman, Chief People Officer, said: “Thomas Franks is a business built and powered by its talented people. We have nurtured an inclusive and collaborative culture, and this recognition by The Sunday Times is evidence of our deep commitment to the wellbeing of our team. We believe it is our role to train people well, support them in their ambitions and treat them with kindness. I am grateful to our wonderful team for sharing their experiences as part of this process, and to The Sunday Times for this honour.”

Thomas Franks was named in the Top 10 ‘Very Large’ Employer category, for organisations with more than 2,000 staff.
