Thomas Franks crowned Thames Valley Business of the Year

Oxfordshire based independent boutique corporate dining company Thomas Franks have been crowned the ultimate ‘Thames Valley Business of the Year’ at the 2023 Chamber Awards.

Recognising the talents, innovation and entrepreneurship of companies from across the region, the strong business community were out in force on Thursday 29th June at the Reading Hilton Hotel to help celebrate the success of local companies.

Showcasing why the Thames Valley is known as the UK’s true turbo economy, representatives from companies large and small enjoyed a truly magnificent evening.

With 11 major categories the winners on the night were –

  3. Best Use of Technology Award – Govox Wellbeing
  4. Commitment to the Community sponsored by Buckinghamshire New University – Green Machine Computers
  5. Excellence in Customer Service Award sponsored by Saffery Champness – B P Collins and Journey Recruitment
  6. Export Business of the Year sponsored by Heathrow – ESP Global Services Ltd
  7. Workplace Health & Well-Being Award sponsored by Doyle Clayton – 1-Fix Ltd
  8. Most Promising New Business sponsored by GEMS – The Leading Peaple Company and Moxy & Residence Inn Slough
  9. SME Business of the Year sponsored by James Cowper Kreston – ACI Group Ltd
  10. Equality and Diversity Award sponsored by Virgin Incentives – Page Group
  11. Thames Valley Business of the Year– Thomas Franks

The evening was expertly guided by host Sally Gunnell OBE, the only women ever to hold four major track titles concurrently, who charmed the audience with her onstage presence, capturing the audience with her wonderful anecdotes and willingly participating in many selfies with keen party goers!

A game of Heads and Tails raised over £1,000 for Chamber Charity of the Year, Helen & Douglas House, with the winner taking home the top prize of Afternoon Tea for four at Cliveden House.

Three-piece band The DEPS raised the roof and fully entertained the 250-strong audience, ensuring everyone was singing along, with many taking to social media to show their enthusiasm and delight.
