The Lodge Hotel at Newbury Racecourse to re-open its doors in New Year

The 36-bedroom hotel at Newbury Racecourse will re-open its doors on Tuesday 4 January 2022, following its extended closure in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. First opened in 2015, The Lodge sits right at the heart of the racecourse estate and offers a unique stay which echoes the charm and heritage of Newbury Racecourse.

For those looking for an overnight stay with a difference whether its exploring the glorious surrounding countryside, travelling for business or somewhere to relax after an exciting day’s racing, The Lodge is the perfect place to stay, providing great accommodation facilities and an exceptional night’s sleep. Each room boasts a Super King-sized bed with luxury cotton linen and en-suite with a refreshing rain effect shower. A 32” television, complimentary Wi-Fi and free parking are all part of the experience when you stay on course at Newbury Racecourse.

Downstairs, The Lodge serves a delicious selected menu, which can be enjoyed with a tipple of choice at the bar, whilst the outside terrace is a great place to socialise. For a limited time only there is an introductory nightly rate starting from £55 for the first two opening weeks available from Tuesday, 4 January to Tuesday 18 January, subject to availability.

Elena Gurgul, Head of Sales, commented, “We’re so excited to be re-opening The Lodge for the first time since March 2020, and can’t wait to welcome guests back. The whole team have worked incredibly hard to ensure that the hotel will be even better than the previous high standards we set, and we look forward to seeing everyone back here again in the New Year.”

All rooms can be booked from Tuesday 4 January 2022 directly through The Lodge website: or by calling 01635 39673.
