Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Launches 2025 Business Manifesto

Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce (TVCC) has unveiled its 2025 Business Manifesto, in the context of a new Government and a challenging business environment. The Manifesto is an annual publication that points to the role of the business community working with the region’s institutions such as educators, and civic organisations responsible for health and infrastructure.

The Manifesto aims to help the cross border and sector working across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Swindon to ensure that the region remains competitive globally.

The Manifesto sets out key priorities to position the Thames Valley as a hub of innovation, investment, and international trade. It is one of the tools that the Chamber uses alongside its events, lobbying, and political engagement to promote the merits of the business community and the centres of excellence in the region such as the life sciences clusters, burgeoning creative and high-end TV and film, and notorious digital technology sector.

The Chamber is set on using its reach to champion the regions strategic importance to the UK economy and to focus the attention of government to unleash the potential of exporting SMEs as a solution to the nation’s growth agenda.

Paul Britton, Chief Executive, TVCC, highlighted the significance of the Manifesto, stating: “The Business Manifesto 2025 is a rallying cry for continued investment and political attention to a region that has been one of the UKs engines of export, inward investment and home-grown growth for decades. TVCC is the only accredited Chamber for the region, and part of a network of 52 Accredited Chambers of Commerce which cover every corner of the UK, that provides the perfect opportunity for co-operation and recognising where our strengths as business communities lie.

The Thames Valley benchmarks well against our city region counterparts, but we risk falling behind without a longer-term plan that delivers a message with the geographical scale to pack the required punch.”
