Thames Valley Chamber launches first ever industry and regional wide business awards

The Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce (TVCC), the only accredited Chamber in the region and the fifth largest in the UK, will be recognising the talents, innovation and entrepreneurship of companies from across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Swindon, as it launches its first ever business awards event for the wider community. The awards will be held at The Hilton Hotel, Drake Way, Reading, RG2 0GQ on Wednesday 27th June 2018, with doors opening at 6pm.

With 11 major categories, members and non-members alike from across the Thames Valley, will have a chance of entering the prestigious Chamber led awards. Scheduled to be held on the 27th June at the stunning Hilton Hotel, the black-tie gala dinner looks set to be an exciting night, with many keen to win a much-coveted award recognising their contribution in the industry.

Unveiled at Green Park, Reading, on the 20th March with a new, dedicated awards website, Gavin Spencer, Head of Member Services at the Chamber commented: “Incredibly excited to be officially launching our first set of industry awards covering the entire Thames Valley. This is a first for the region and one that we are proud to be leading on.

“We have always been a strong advocate and champion of local businesses and what better way than an awards ceremony celebrating business excellence throughout our innovative region. The awards have already proven popular with the wider business community and many major companies have already signed up as sponsors. We will be using the latest, state of the art technology platform that allows entrants to seamlessly complete their application online in their own time, without having to worry about where they are in the process as it allows them to save as they go along.”

Winners will automatically enter the national and highly regarded British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) awards. Now in their 15th year they celebrate the role of ‘business in delivering growth and prosperity for the UK and local communities’.

Major sponsors have backed the awards including headline sponsors, Heathrow Airport, along with B P Collins, Eacotts International, GEMS, Generate UK, Grundon, Macintyre Hudson, SEGRO and VSP.

Furthermore, one company will win the ultimate regional accolade of the ‘Thames Valley Business of the Year’.

Businesses have a chance of entering one of 11 categories:

• Best use of Social Media (sponsored by Generate UK)
• Best use of Technology (sponsored by Macintyre Hudson)
• Commitment to People Development (sponsored by B P Collins)
