Data centres sit behind so much of everyday life, yet the careers they offer – either directly or indirectly – are often invisible to young people thinking about their lives after they finish their education. Through SEGRO’s Community Investment Plans, they work with a network of schools, charities, customers and suppliers to change that. SEGRO is helping young people understand what this and other sectors are, why it matters, and how their skills could fit into it.
SEGRO acknowledge that they could not reach as many people without the valuable support of their customers and partners, many of whom are Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce members. Their time, expertise, and willingness to engage give these experiences real weight and credibility. It is a reminder that building the talent pipeline is a collective effort and one that benefits everyone involved.
Through the Chamber’s own work on leading two Local Skills Improvement Plans for Berkshire, and Oxfordshire, we certainly agree that extraordinary futures are shaped through collaboration and knowledge sharing put into practice. Find out more HERE.
