Positive year-end results for Safer Sphere despite COVID-19 pandemic

National CDM construction safety specialist Safer Sphere has reported positive revenue growth despite the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Safer Sphere has seen significant growth year on year and has now passed the £1m pound turnover mark in the year to April 2020, as well as creating new jobs and expanding its offices to include Liverpool and Reading.

Whilst the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the business due to some construction sites closing, the business has managed to adapt to reduce any long-term effects.

Mike Forsyth, Managing Director said “I am delighted to achieve our target of passing the £1m turnover target at the close of our financial year. Since the business began in 2012, the demand for our services has increased every year, especially repeat work from existing clients and referrals. We have always had the ability to work remotely so it was not too onerous for us to adapt to the recent home working guidance, but as construction safety specialists the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted our ability to visit construction sites. Some sites have taken the decision to close temporarily but luckily, we are still able to support our clients during the pre-construction phase and with safety support for continuing projects. We have seen our turnover impacted slightly in the last few months which has prevented us from achieving slightly higher results, but we have achieved what we set out to do so I couldn’t ask for more.

We recently re-assessed the risk of our site visits and have now decided to resume visits to our projects whose sites have remained open and are re-opening, whilst continuing to follow government guidance. I want to personally thank all the team for their support during this time and over the past year, it is their hard work and dedication that has helped our business grow and become one of the leading construction safety specialists in the industry.”

Safer Sphere offers a team of highly experienced CDM construction safety specialists.  Safer Sphere supports CDM duty holders (clients, designers and contractors) to discharge their duties under the CDM and other relevant health and safety legislation and helps ensure that projects delivered safely and with due consideration for the health and safety of end-users.
