Campaigning for business growth in the
Thames Valley

As the region’s only Accredited Chamber, you can ensure your organisation’s voice is heard through our campaigns work and lobbying, both regionally and nationally.

As the independent voice of business for the Thames Valley, we represent, and enhance the interests of our members across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Swindon.

The last General Election brought significant change to the political representation across the Thames Valley. For the Chamber, and our business community, this provides a timely opportunity to actively engage and further foster key relationships with all Thames Valley MPs – shaping their understanding of the business issues affecting our region and enabling them to best represent our region in Parliament.

As the voice of the UK’s true turbo economy, our mission is to enhance the Thames Valley’s global reputation as a premier business destination and a driving force behind the nation’s growth.

Local Engagement

We’re actively engaging with local government leaders to shape the devolution discussion, advocating for effective local governance, value-for-money services, and ensuring that the business community’s voice is heard.

Regional Representation

With a mandate from business to lead, we showcase the Thames Valley’s sector strengths, advocate for regional solutions to national challenges, and highlight the power of our partnerships in driving economic growth.

Global opportunity

We promote the region as an ideal business location, advocating policies that attract FDI and enhance the business environment. Through national Chamber networks, we help businesses expand trade and investment opportunities.

Get Involved

Talk to us – our experienced policy team is on hand to support you with issues affecting your business.

Engaging our MPs we maintain active engagement with our MPs through a range of high-level forums, including our regular Political Working Lunches, State of the Region Roundtables, the annual Parliamentary Question Time and other topic specific events.

Regional Assembly – our Thames Valley Assembly and Windsor Debates provide opportunities to engage with senior business leaders and decision makers, improve your business intelligence, and shape business conditions.  Meetings feed directly into our policy direction and programme of work, along with engagement with our elected representatives at Westminster and within the region.

Quarterly Economic Survey – each quarter, our business survey gathers invaluable insights into the views of the Thames Valley business community, with results feeding directly into the British Chambers of Commerce Quarterly Economic Survey (QES). This gives us powerful information on business conditions which is used by the Bank of England, the Treasury and MPs.

Consultation Panel –we regularly respond to consultations and calls for evidence by national and local government and government agencies. Our responses are informed by contributions from active members with geographical, sector and operational interest.

Business Voice – the Chamber’s quarterly business magazine that offers accessible insight and intelligence on all aspects of economic and social policy; events and activities and showcasing company news relevant to our members.
