Oxford Professional Education has successfully wrapped up its latest walking challenge, 30 Miles in 30 Days, raising funds and awareness for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The team collectively clocked up an impressive 4,206,046 steps, the equivalent of 1900 miles. To put that into perspective – that’s the same distance as walking from Oxford all the way to Istanbul, where we could celebrate with a wel -earned Turkish coffee!
As with all our walking challenges, the steps were about more than just fitness. They were about coming together for a cause close to many of our hearts. To mark the achievement, the team also hosted a series of Macmillan Coffee Mornings, adding cake, conversation and community spirit to the miles covered.
“At Oxford Professional Education, we believe in combining wellbeing with giving back. Walking together has not only boosted morale but also allowed us to support the vital work Macmillan does for those affected by cancer,” said Jane Young, Managing Director
The challenge is part of the organisation’s ongoing commitment to health, wellbeing and social responsibility, with previous events raising money for a variety of local and national charities.
