Thames Valley Chamber members We are Chain are celebrating the launch of a brand new tourism website for the town of Hungerford. The website is a collaboration between The Hungerford Chamber of Commerce, The Hungerford Town Council and The Greenham Trust.
The end result is the consequence of a remarkable partnership between key local organizations and the tireless efforts of dedicated community volunteers. Jim Chetwode of Web Agency, We are Chain played a pivotal role in bringing this project to life.
“The launch of this website is down in no small part to our membership of the Thames Valley Chamber. At a networking event run by Tim Major in Swindon a few years ago, we were introduced to Karen Salmon of the Hungerford Financial and Legal Centre, also members of the Thames Valley Chamber. Karen is also the Chairman of the Hungerford Chamber of Commerce and wanted to help boost local business in the town.”
The website features a wealth of information to help visitors make the most of their time in Hungerford including:
Where to Eat, Sleep, and Drink: Discover the town’s finest dining establishments, accommodations, and local pubs, ensuring a delightful and comfortable stay.
How to Get to Hungerford: Easy-to-follow directions and transportation options make your journey to Hungerford hassle-free.
What to Do: Explore the town’s many attractions, activities, and shops, allowing you to immerse yourself in Hungerford’s unique culture.
Local Events Listing: Visitors can stay up-to-date with a comprehensive listing of upcoming events and festivals, so they never miss out on the excitement of things like the Victorian Extravanza.
One of the standout features of the new Visit Hungerford website is the interactive map of the heritage trail. This engaging map showcases local buildings and landmarks, offering a glimpse into Hungerford’s rich history and heritage. Visitors can embark on a journey through time, discovering the fascinating stories behind the town’s iconic sites.
Karen Salmon, Chairman of the Hungerford Chamber of Commerce, remarked, “The Visit Hungerford website is a testament to the passion and dedication of our community.
