New Member Code Institute brings practical Data and AI skills training to Thames Valley businesses

Code Institute has joined Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce as a new member, bringing proven expertise in digital skills training. As a leading provider operating across the UK and Europe, the organisation recently received an Outstanding rating from Ofsted.

Data and AI are transforming business operations across all industries. A recent TechUK report notes that AI technologies have the potential to boost UK GDP by about 10.3% by 2030. But AI is only as effective as the data behind it.

One of the challenges for many businesses has been accessing quality training in these areas. The UK’s digital skills gap costs the economy £63 billion annually according to the House of Commons Library (2024). McKinsey research shows that 80% of business leaders believe upskilling existing staff is the most effective way to close these gaps.

This recognition reflects the quality of their industry-aligned curriculum and active learner community. Their diverse portfolio covers software development, data analytics, data literacy, and applied AI for business, positioning them to address the specific digital skills challenges local businesses face.

90% Funded Data Analytics & AI Training
Code Institute, in partnership with local authorities across the UK, has secured funding for up to 90% of the costs for its Professional Certificate in Data Analytics & AI Skills Bootcamp for companies with fewer than 250 employees.

Funding is made available through the UK Government’s Skills for Life initiative, allowing businesses to access high-quality, industry-recognised training at just a fraction of the usual cost. Eligibility criteria may vary depending on where the business operates or where the employee lives. However, companies based in Berkshire, Swindon, and Wiltshire are among those that can benefit from this opportunity.
