We are hosting a Talent Pipeline & Essential Skills Forum to support the next phase of the Local Skills Improvement Plans (LSIPs) for Berkshire and Oxfordshire.

This focused, invite-only session will bring together employers, educators, training providers, recruitment specialists and local partners to explore shared workforce challenges and opportunities across key service sectors that are vital to the Thames Valley economy.

The forum will focus on strengthening talent pipelines and essential employability skills across hospitality, care and health, retail, and professional business services; sectors that continue to experience common challenges around recruitment, retention, workforce readiness and progression.

Discussion will focus on:

• Workforce and talent pipeline challenges across key service sectors
• Essential employability skills needed for success and progression
• Skills common across sectors and opportunities for shared solutions
• Recruitment, retention and workforce readiness pressures
• Training availability and alignment with employer needs
• Understanding and responding to the expectations of Gen Z entrants

The session will include facilitated discussion and interactive engagement to capture employer insight, priorities and ideas for action.

Your input will directly inform the next LSIPs, helping ensure they reflect real employer needs and opportunities across the region.
