Thames Valley AI Skills & Workforce Forum

Invite-Only Event

We’re hosting an AI Skills & Workforce Forum to support the next phase of the Local Skills Improvement Plans (LSIPs) for Berkshire and Oxfordshire.

This focused session brings together employers, educators, training providers and local partners to explore how AI is reshaping business, recruitment and workforce development — and what this means for skills priorities across the Thames Valley.

We’re pleased to welcome Dr Nisreen Ameen, lead author of the UK Government’s AI Skills for the UK Workforce report, who will share key insights from the report and what they mean in practice for organisations and the workforce.

Dr Ameen will be joined by Dr Mona Ashok, Associate Professor of Digital Transformation and BSI ART1 Artificial Intelligence Committee Member, alongside Dr Key and Dr Kate Webb from our Skills Unit, for an interactive fireside chat with live polling and open discussion.

Audience discussion focused on:

  • How AI is changing roles and recruitment needs
  • Emerging skills priorities and workforce development
  • Opportunities to embed AI and digital skills into local training
  • How we can work together to future-proof local talent pipelines

Your input will directly inform the next LSIPs, helping ensure they reflect real employer needs and opportunities across the region.

This is an invite-only event with limited spaces. Attendance is by invitation and advance confirmation is required.
