New equity partners admitted to PwC Reading

Two new equity partners have been admitted to the PwC partnership in Reading.

Dave Farmer joins as an audit partner while Steven Bewick will join the Deals team.

Dave Farmer has been in audit in Reading for 17 years and will be responsible for leading the firm’s work with high growth companies in the Thames Valley.

Steve Bewick moved from PwC’s Birmingham office to Reading in 2013 and will become the South East Forensics leader, supporting clients with investigations and risks associated with economic crime and disputes.

PwC has admitted a total of five directors into the partnership across the wider South East practice.

Keith Harrington, PwC South East Regional leader said:

“I am delighted to announce that this year we are promoting five new partners across the South East practice. While it’s been a challenging few months for us all it’s important we continue to invest in the future of this hugely diverse and growing region.

“It’s crucial that we’re in the best possible position to support our clients and communities as we all navigate this journey out of lockdown.”

Further investment is being made in the Reading office, with audit partner Craig Skelton moving from the London practice to strengthen PwC’s Thames Valley Private Business team.

Craig will focus on growing and developing the Private Business team, and helping private businesses across the Thames Valley navigate the complexities of coming out of lockdown.

Craig has been with PwC for 22 years, primarily focusing on private and entrepreneurial businesses, and specialising in retail, hospitality and leisure. He currently sits on PwC’s UK retail and hospitality leadership team.

John Ellis, PwC Reading Office Senior Partner, said:

“It’s fantastic to have three new partners joining our Reading leadership team. We’re really proud to be part of the Thames Valley business community, and our new partners will help us grow the expertise and capabilities that we can deliver for our breadth of clients across the region.”
