New contentious probate partner for IBB Law

IBB private client group is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Grimwood who joins the firm on 01 May as a Partner in the specialist contentious probate team.

IBB Law is one of the few firms in the region with a specialist contentious probate team and Paul’s appointment is in reaction to the increasing demand for their services. The team has noticed an increase in new enquiries, not only in relation to disputed wills, but also in relation to the actions taken by executors in relation to the administration of estates.   It seems likely number will continue to increase to deal with the signature of wills during the Covid 19 pandemic which seem set to open up potential challenges in these areas.

Paul joins IBB from Hart Brown where he was Partner and Head of the Dispute Resolution team. Paul has more than 30 years’ of specialist litigation experience, resolving a wide range of disputes.

Paul will join Partner Amanda Melton and solicitors Catherine O’Reilly and Rekha Toor who specialise in Contentious Probate work.

Amanda Melton, Head of the Private Client Group said of Paul’s appointment: We are delighted to welcome Paul to help grow and develop further our specialist Contentious Probate offering. The team is very busy at the moment and Paul’s excellent experience in this area will enable them to be able to help more potential clients with family disputes’.
