Luke Hanratty, who originally joined Saffery the accounting and business advisory firm in High Wycombe as a trainee ten years ago, has been promoted to Partner.
Luke officially takes up the new role on the 1 April 2024, and will work closely with Partners, Sheryl Davis and Andrew Watkinson, on the strategic direction and growth of the firm, while also developing the firm’s key sectors including real estate, professional services, hospitality, recruitment, landed estates, and entrepreneurs.
He says: “This is an exciting opportunity and I look forward to leading the firm through its next phase of growth with the other Partners and team in High Wycombe. I want to ensure that we continue to invest in our people, maintain our encouraging and collaborative culture and uphold our high standards of client service.”
Looking back over the past ten years, Luke has enjoyed many career highlights, but one, in particular, stands out: “…pulling an all-nighter to sign off on a client which would have needed to enter liquidation if the audit had not been completed on time. However, we were able to work closely with them to identify how we could obtain the evidence we needed, and ultimately helped to preserve their business and livelihood. We are still working with them to this day.”
Andrew Watkinson, Partner, comments on Luke’s promotion: “Since joining Saffery, Luke has brought energy, enthusiasm, and a true commitment to delivering a great experience for our clients and our team. I am looking forward to working with him to help grow the firm and develop our service offering in key sectors.”
