London Bridge Project have teamed up with Magic Moments Trust to support their endeavour to raise funds for their empowering projects in South Africa.
The Magic Moments Trust is a Non-Profit Organisation, based in Everton Kwa Zulu Natal in South Africa, and has developed a Painting Programme that helps people to discover, develop and express their creativity, through teaching painting skills and providing them with access to the economy.
Unemployed people from the rural areas in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa have been given an opportunity to learn a skill and earn an income for their families. They hand paint and sell top quality cushion covers, bags, placemats and table runners. It is their earnest hope and desire to become self sustainable through the ongoing sales of these items. It gives them a sense of purpose and being part of the economy, as well as supporting their families. They love painting and are exceptionally talented. It brings them great happiness and pride when their products are sold.
Kemal Sidar, CEO of the London Bridge Project says “We believe that business is about giving back to communities in need and developing skills in those communities. As part of our office in Cape Town, we are proud to announce that we are assisting the Trust by launching the “Umbala” brand in the UK. Umbala means Colour in Zulu and we are sure that it will bring more colour to everyone’s life.”
