The Virtual Colleagues, led by founder Jess Warr, is celebrating after being awarded accreditation by the Good Business Charter, recognising the organisation’s commitment to responsible and ethical business practices.
The Good Business Charter is a national accreditation that champions businesses that prioritise fairness, transparency and strong relationships with the people they work with. Standards cover areas including employee wellbeing, diversity and inclusion, environmental responsibility, customer commitment and the fair treatment of suppliers.
For Jess and her team, the accreditation reflects values that have always been central to how the business operates.
“As a business built on relationships, trust is incredibly important to us,” said Jess. “Whether we’re supporting clients, working with our associate team or collaborating with suppliers, we believe people should feel respected, valued and supported.”
The Virtual Colleagues work with business owners to provide virtual assistant and operational support, helping them create more time, reduce overwhelm and focus on the work that matters most.
While many accreditations recognise business performance, the Good Business Charter focuses on how businesses treat the people around them. Jess believes this is particularly important for small businesses, which play a significant role in shaping the communities and networks they are part of.
“Becoming accredited isn’t about adding another logo to our website,” she said. “It’s about holding ourselves accountable to the standards we already believe in and demonstrating that the way we do business matters just as much as the services we provide.”
To celebrate the accreditation and give back to the local business community, the agency is offering three complimentary Power Hours exclusively for Chamber members.
The one-hour sessions are designed to help busy business owners gain clarity on their priorities, tackle their to-do lists and create momentum on projects that may have stalled.
Chamber members interested in claiming one of the three free Power Hours are encouraged to get in touch to find out more, or register their interest here: https://forms.gle/CDudntuF59TsALPj8
