Kimon Services launches KimonBids an AI Platform to help UK small businesses win government contracts

The new AI platform monitors all UK procurement portals in real time and cuts bid writing time by up to 70 per cent, giving SMEs the intelligence that large contractors have had for years

Kimon Services, the UK business services company, today announced the launch of KimonBids, an AI-powered tender discovery and bid management platform built specifically for UK small and medium-sized enterprises. The platform monitors all four official UK government procurement portals in real time, scores every opportunity against a company’s profile, and generates structured bid responses that cut writing time by up to 70 per cent.

UK public sector procurement is worth hundreds of billions of pounds each year, and the government has repeatedly stated its ambition to direct more of that spend to smaller, more innovative suppliers. Yet SMEs face structural barriers at every stage: thousands of opportunities are published across four separate portals every week, assessing genuine competitiveness is difficult without data, and writing a compelling response demands time and skills that most small firms do not have in-house.

KimonBids addresses each of those barriers directly. The platform currently tracks more than £250 billion in contract value, over 4,500 live tenders, and more than 9,000 buying organisations across Contracts Finder, Find a Tender, Sell2Wales, and Public Contracts Scotland, with data updated hourly.

“Small businesses lose out on government work not because their work is worse, but because they cannot find the right opportunities in time or afford the bid teams that large contractors take for granted,” said Michael, founder of Kimon Services. “KimonBids removes that information asymmetry. It reads every tender published in the UK, tells you honestly whether you can win it, and then helps you write a response that competes with anything a dedicated bid team produces. That is what levelling the playing field actually looks like.”

The full bid lifecycle in one platform
KimonBids covers every stage from discovery to submission:

• AI matching and scoring: every tender is read and scored against a company’s sector, capabilities, geography, certifications, and typical contract values, with a transparent breakdown of every score.
• Go/no-go recommendations: an honest assessment of competitiveness before any time is committed to a response.
• AI bid drafting: structured first drafts built from a company’s own documents and past wins, trained on UK public sector bid writing conventions including social value requirements under PPN 06/20 and the Procurement Act 2023.
• Smart keyword alerts, compliance generators, buyer and competitor intelligence, consortium partner matching, and team collaboration tools.

Companies can go from sign-up to their first bid in under an hour. A free plan gives access to all portals at no cost, with paid plans from £79 per month. No credit card is required to start.

KimonBids is available now at https://kimonbids.com.
