Leading law firm Boyes Turner is proud to announce its sponsorship of “What Do We Do About Domestic Abuse?”, a powerful and multidisciplinary conference hosted by OnlyMums & Dads in partnership with Coram Chambers, OurFamilyWizard, and the University of Reading.
Opening on Wednesday, 5 November 2025, the conference takes a unique and compelling approach to addressing the challenges that families face in the context of domestic abuse. Setting the tone for the day is “Bite”, a courtroom drama written by former family judge HH Stephen Wildblood KC, performed by professional actors. The performance will serve as a powerful catalyst for reflection and discussion among attendees.
The event brings together a wide range of professionals working in family separation – from lawyers and mediators to psychologists and divorce coaches – for a day of interactive sessions, roundtable discussions, and expert-led lectures.
Speaking ahead of the event, Paul Linsell, Partner at Boyes Turner, said:
We’re honoured to support this important and much-needed event. Domestic abuse is one of the most complex and sensitive issues we encounter in family law. It demands multi-agency thinking, informed collaboration, and a willingness to challenge assumptions. At Boyes Turner, we’re committed to helping improve outcomes for families affected by abuse, and this conference is a vital step in that direction
Paul has been heavily involved in the planning of the event and will be speaking on the day to share his own expertise as an experienced solicitor and mediator. As part of Boyes Turner’s ongoing commitment to supporting the next generation of legal professionals, the firm is sponsoring places for law students from the University of Reading and the University of Law. These sponsored places aim to introduce students to the critical importance of multidisciplinary thinking in tackling domestic abuse within family separation.
As well as Paul’s contributions, the conference will feature a wide range of contributors, including HHJ Vincent (the designated family judge in the region), Dr Olga Luzon (Clinical Psychologist, Royal Holloway), Alison Easton KC (Coram Chambers), Caron Kipping (IDVA and specialise coach), Dr Angharad Rudkin (Clinical Psychologist) and Professor Amanda Millmore (University of Reading), among others.
