Green Park, Reading launches Wellbeing microsite for the wider community

Mapletree’s 195-acre Green Park, Reading has made available a ‘Wellbeing at Home’ site for the wider community to use during social distancing.  As the new norm of working from home seems set to continue, the new microsite – designed to be accessed by all – offers tips, ideas, recipes, online bootcamp as well as articles to support wellness of body and mind for the whole community.  Green Park, which is home to 60 companies, has already transferred over 50% of its event activities and support for its 7,600 occupiers to the virtual world.

These activities range from language classes, Green Park’s Rock Choir and birdbox making.  The ‘Wellbeing at Home’ site can be found at https://www.greenpark.co.uk/wellbeing/ or by visiting the main Green Park, Reading website www.greenpark.co.uk and scrolling down to view the ‘Wellbeing at Home’ section.

Nicole Coulson, Lifestyle Manager at Green Park, said, “For the vast majority of people, working from home is a big adjustment, so we wanted to not only help our 7,600 occupiers but extend our support to the wider community during this challenging time. Via the link or the ‘Wellbeing at Home’ section of the Green Park website, anyone can now access Green Park’s 10-minute boot camp sessions which take place three times a week.

In addition, you can find the Recipe of the Day, Bread Making Corner and the daily Brain Break Quiz, as well as segments on homeworking and mental wellbeing.  For many, working from home and social distancing can create additional stress and anxiety, so we’ve included tips and advice on how to manage work life balance, including articles on mental and physical wellbeing.

Coulson continued, “With Green Park being set in 195 acres of parkland, we wanted to give people the chance to see some of the amazing nature on the park, such as our nesting swans – hence, we’ve set up a delayed live feed which anyone can view online. The Green Park team will be updating the ‘Wellbeing at Home’ site regularly so new recipes, up-to-date tips, advice and new boot camp sessions will be available for the foreseeable future.”

With 1.4 million sq ft of grade A office space, Green Park is the one of the UK’s leading business parks and celebrates its 21st birthday this year. Home to over 60 companies and more than 7,600 occupiers, it sets the gold standard for 21st century business parks.  Its achievements, endeavours and enduring success are a testament to its absolute commitment to the needs of its occupiers. Construction on the next phase of the 195-acre park is in progress, with two soon-to-be-completed buildings offering an additional 233,988 sq ft to the business community.
