Green Machine Computers encourage delegates to recycle tech at the Green Technology Conference

Green Machine Computers are set to exhibit at the Chambers’ International Green Technology Conference and are encouraging attendees to bring their unwanted electronics for recycling. With more than 6 million electrical items being discarded annually in the UK, it’s time to take action to reduce e-waste and fight digital exclusion.

The multi-award-winning recycling specialists believe that every person should have access to the benefits that technology has to offer. By donating a significant amount of refurbished computer hardware to schools, charities, and non-profit organisations, they are fighting digital exclusion and providing individuals with the tools they need to succeed.

The Green Technology Conference, last run in 2019, is back in the calendar, and the focus for 2023 is on sustainability. Hosted by the Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce, the event will take place on the 11th of May 2023 at the Microsoft campus in Reading between 9am and 4pm.

During the event, Green Machine’s team will be on hand to take in anyone’s electronics for recycling. After wiping, restoring, and repairing your unwanted device, it will be ready for a second life with someone less fortunate. The impact that your device can make on someone’s life is truly astounding, plus, by recycling your computer hardware you help to protect the environment from the harmful effects of e-waste too.

Attendees are urged to bring any unwanted laptops, mobile phones, and tablets with them, among any other small electrical items that they would like to securely dispose of.

The Green Technology Conference is a timely event that focuses on the transition to a zero-carbon economy by 2050. With clean growth as the most significant economic growth of the 21st century, the conference will explore ways for businesses to work towards a net-zero future and reduce their carbon footprint.

Businesses are under pressure to work towards a more sustainable future and to reduce their carbon footprint; this conference provides a platform for companies to explore new and innovative solutions, enabling organisations of all sizes to achieve carbon neutrality.

“We are excited to be part of the Green Technology Conference and to showcase our recycling service,” said Simon Crisp, Managing Director of Green Machine Computers. “Our commitment to reducing e-waste and promoting digital inclusion aligns with the conference’s focus on building a sustainable future. We encourage everyone to attend the event and to bring their unwanted electronics with them for recycling.”

The conference promises to be an exciting event for anyone interested in the future of green technology. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to join Green Machine Computers and other industry leaders at the Green Technology Conference to make a difference in reducing e-waste, fighting digital exclusion, and advancing the transition to a sustainable, zero-carbon economy.
