South East law firm, Gardner Leader, has appointed Rabika Basran as a Solicitor in the Employment Team based in its Maidenhead office, as well as supporting three new Solicitors to complete their training contracts and qualify with the firm.
Rabika is experienced in dealing with an array of employment law issues, including dismissals, discrimination, wage/holiday pay and TUPE-related claims. She also has a thorough understanding of litigation, bringing a depth of knowledge having handled single and multi-party matters at Employment Tribunal, Employment Appeal Tribunal and the High Court.
Rabika began her legal career as a Legal Administrator/Paralegal, before qualifying as a Solicitor in 2019 within a well-known trade union firm.
Speaking of her appointment, Rabika said: “I’m really pleased to be joining such an experienced and diverse team at Gardner Leader. Everyone has been incredibly welcoming, and I’m looking forward to learning more about the long-established relationship with the community here in Maidenhead. I hope to use my experience handling employment law issues, from grievances and appeals, to contracts of employment to continue to raise the profile of our extensive service offerings, and to bring peace of mind to businesses and employees alike.”
The law firm has also recently supported three trainee Solicitors to complete their training contracts and qualify with Gardner Leader. Bethany Giles qualifies into the Inheritance Protection team, Javeria Tahir joins the Commercial Property team, and Madia Aslam joins the Family Team. All three have been training at the firm for the last several years to get to this stage of their careers. On completion of her training contract, Javeria Tahir said: “Gardner Leader has been incredibly supportive since I began my career here as a Paralegal. I wanted to train at a firm that would take the time and offer support no matter what position my colleague held, and I got exactly that and more throughout my training.”
