Over 140 business leaders and professionals gathered at Cokethorpe School on Friday 6 June for a Business Breakfast that tackled the fast-moving world of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in business and education.
Held in the School’s Dining Hall, the morning began with a first-class buffet breakfast, generously sponsored by Philip Dennis Foodservice, Clifton Bookkeeping, and Penny & Sinclair. Guests enjoyed an exceptional spread that fuelled a morning of lively conversation and powerful insights. Visual coverage of the event was kindly provided as a gift-in-kind by JJ Hunt Photography and Oxford House Video Agency.
The centrepiece of the event was an inspiring conversation between Wale Adepoju, serial entrepreneur and technology strategist, and Dr Liberty Foreman, scientist and co-founder of tech firm DynamX Medical. Together, they unpacked AI in Business and Education: The What and Why, offering real-world examples and unique insights drawn from their professional journeys.
• Wale Adepoju, a tech strategist and entrepreneur with decades of experience in healthcare and innovation, spoke about how AI is already reshaping the way businesses work – and why ignoring it is not an option.
• Dr Liberty Foreman, co-founder of DynamX Medical and a Forbes 30 Under 30 alumna, gave a compelling look at how AI is being used for early cancer detection, saving lives through faster and more accurate diagnosis. Her message was clear: the future of AI is here, and it is making a real difference.
The conversation was compèred by Taryn Logan, Cokethorpe’s Digital Marketing Officer, who kept the energy high and the discussion flowing throughout the morning.
The event also supported Cokethorpe’s Bursary Scheme, with guests donating to help ensure that bright young people, regardless of background, can access a Cokethorpe education.
Next Business Breakfast: Friday 26 September 2025
The conversation continues at the next Business Breakfast event on Friday, September 26, when the focus shifts from the ‘what and why’ of AI to the ‘how’ – real-world applications and how businesses and schools can make it work today. Speakers will be announced soon, and it promises to be another must-attend event.
