Every breakthrough has a backstory – Next Generation of Innovation

Tucked away in the Thames Valley, Syngenta’s R&D site Jealott’s Hill has been quietly shaping the future of agriculture for almost 100 years. 

From wartime breakthroughs that helped secure food supplies to the latest innovations in biologicals. Generation after generation of scientists have built on one belief: progress in agriculture is never a single breakthrough. It’s a continuum.

Today, over 800 experts carry that legacy forward across crop protection, biologicals, and digital agriculture. The groundbreaking of Syngenta’s next-generation research BioSTaR facility at Jealott’s Hill, builds on nearly a century of discovery and marks next chapter in innovation for the research hub.
