Dutch Real Estate company expands with Oxfordshire site acquisition
Kadans Science Partner continues to expand their Pan-European portfolio with a recent addition to their existing science cluster in Abingdon Science Park, Oxfordshire. The asset at Grange Court, which was acquired from a private investor, sits in close proximity to Kadans’ existing spaces across the Science Park. As part of the acquisition Kadans will be repositioning the asset to provide circa 20,000 sq ft of new, high-quality laboratory and office accommodation ready for occupation in Q3 2023. Kadans will also be rebranding the building to be known as Sovereign House.
Abingdon Science Park is one of the leading locations in Oxfordshire for science and technology innovation. Set in an attractive, landscaped location to the south of Oxford, the park offers a variety of accommodation for companies at all stages of their development. Kadans are developing new laboratory and office spaces in the park to support the needs of growing businesses in Oxfordshire. Alongside Sovereign House , Kadans will deliver Barton House in 2023 a new purpose-built building housing laboratory and office accommodation. Abingdon Science Park is now 100% occupied and Kadans’ new developments at Barton House & Sovereign House offers much-needed support to this growing tenant demand.
Paul Britton, CEO of Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce, commented: “The Thames Valley region continues to be the choice of location for investment and expansion for foreign investors, and for good reason. Comprising of a rich talent pool, facilitated by world renowned centres of excellence, Oxfordshire is a leading location for science, technology and innovation that continues to grow and thrive.”
James Sheppard Managing Director (UK & Ireland) said: ‘We are delighted to continue expanding our footprint at Abingdon Science Park. Oxfordshire is a key location for science and technology development. By bringing more purpose-built accommodation forward we can continue to create and nurture a flourishing ecosystem. The addition of this building allows us to better deliver the Kadans ecosystem and real estate proposition into one of Europe’s leading life science markets.’
