BDB Pitmans are proud to be Reading Football Club Women’s team Official Legal Partner for the next three seasons.
Reading FC Women’s team moved to the Madejski Stadium in 2020, making them the first team in the Women Super League to play at the same ground (on a regular basis) as their male counterparts and helping the club to showcase the importance of women’s football to a wider audience, especially once fans are allowed back in to the stadium.
Sheilagh Magee, Private Wealth Partner at BDB Pitmans’ Reading office, stated: “BDB Pitmans cultivates an environment of diversity, inclusivity and growth. What better way to display this to our home town than by sponsoring Reading FC Women for the next three seasons and to be able to follow them as they influence the next generation of female footballers and sports women.
We are proud to champion diversity and inclusivity within the workplace, having recently appointed a diversity and inclusion manager, being one of the few firms to do so. 62% of our firm are female and we are keen to make a difference by supporting gender diversity as one of our core values. Even though we’re nearly half way through the season we’re delighted to get involved now, helping the team through COVID-19. As well as continuing to partner with them, especially during the 150th anniversary of the club”.
Head of Sales and Partnership at Reading Football Club, Tim Kilpatrick, added: “We’re proud to announce this Partnership with BDB Pitmans. As an organisation with strong links to our town, and fanbase, they share our ambition to push Reading FC Women forward both on and off the pitch”.
Kelly Chambers, the Team Manager for the Women First team at Reading Football Club also went on to say: “This partnership speaks volumes for our growth as a Football Club and Women’s Football generally. As an organisation we pride ourselves on cultural diversity and we’re really pleased to be able to work with BDB Pitmans on a number of initiatives to reflect this”.
As part of the partnership, the BDB Pitmans branding will be visible at all Reading FC Women home matches and the firm will be supporting a number of community initiatives during the 150th anniversary of the club.
BDB Pitmans launched in 2018 following the merger of legacy firms Bircham Dyson Bell (BDB) and Pitmans Law.
Based at offices in London, Cambridge, Reading and Southampton we approach every case with the bigger picture in mind and look to help shape what’s important to people and society.
Above all, our focus is on doing things right. And doing them well. So we build longstanding and mutually beneficial relationships based on trust and genuine partnership.
We are extremely excited to be part of the Reading Football Club family and can’t wait to begin working closely with them.
