As part of its ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility, B P Collins has announced its latest round of charitable donations totalling £13,500. This funding marks the 12th year of the firm’s partnership with the Heart of Bucks’ stewardship fund, bringing its total contribution to local Buckinghamshire charities to £128,500.
All B P Collins staff were invited to choose from five shortlisted charities and organisations that align with the firm’s CSR values: building stronger communities, providing better futures, and creating safer lives. The chosen charities to receive donations are:
– CHAT Children’s Respite, which funds short term respite care for local families with children who have ongoing complex health needs – £4,000
– Thomley Hall Centre, which will fund a befriending service for the parents and carers of people with disabilities – £3,000
– Chiltern Open Air Museum, which will fund its Summer Wellbeing Socials helping to prevent social isolation and improve the health of around 900 vulnerable people across Buckinghamshire – £2,500
– Vale of Aylesbury Vineyard, which will help to fund one to one play therapy sessions to support families with a child experiencing emotional or mental health difficulties – £2,250
– Community Youth Ventures C.I.C, which runs a media and podcast project for young people where they get the chance to build communications skills, share stories or experiences and discuss key issues affecting them – £1,750.
“We’re delighted to work alongside Heart of Bucks once again to support organisations that do such vital work locally,” said B P Collins’ senior partner, Simon Deans. “At B P Collins, giving back is a core part of who we are and we hope our donations continue to strengthen our local community and create lasting, positive change.
Henry Allmand, CEO of Heart of Bucks adds: “We are delighted to have worked with the team at B P Collins for another successful community grant round, ensuring that much-needed financial support is available to small grassroots charities in Buckinghamshire. The support of community-focused businesses like B P Collins who actively invest in their local communities is critical and we are grateful they act so responsibly as a local business, committed to making a difference.”
The charities explain the benefits that B P Collins’ donations will bring this year:
“With this award Treehouse at Aylesbury Vineyard will be able to deliver some much needed Play Therapy support to vulnerable children in Aylesbury…This level of support can be transformational for children who have experienced domestic abuse and gives them the space to process and heal from their experience. We have had a few children on a waiting list for a few months so they will finally get their chance to find freedom and heal. Thank you so much,” Vale of Aylesbury Vineyard
“We can’t wait to start capturing local voices as part of our ‘Switched ON!’ project, which will promote young people, develop conversation skills and delve deeper into our communities,” Community Youth Ventures C.I.C.
“B P Collins’ fund is supporting Thomley to launch a peer-led Befriending Service for unpaid carers that will help reduce isolation by creating opportunities for them to meet, share experiences, and build lasting peer relationships that help them be better equipped and supported in their role as carers,” Thomley Hall Centre.
The Heart of Bucks Stewardship Fund is a vital resource for local charities in Buckinghamshire, helping to fund projects that benefit residents across the county. B P Collins’ ongoing support of the fund highlights the firm’s long-term commitment to driving positive change and creating lasting impact in the local community.
