B P Collins has announced that its property dispute practice group leader, Phil Hind, has been promoted to partner – the 16th in the firm. Phil specialises in resolving disputes relating to sale or purchase and joint venture agreements, dilapidations, break clauses, rights of way, proprietary estoppel, restrictive covenants, construction of leases, service charge disputes, construction disputes, business lease renewals and residential landlord and tenant disputes.
B P Collins’ has also promoted three lawyers to senior associate in the dispute resolution practice. They are Rajiv Malhotra, Steven Smith and James Constable.
Rajiv Malhotra, who trained at the firm, is recognised as a ‘Rising star’ by independent directory The Legal 500. He focuses on commercial litigation, advising regional and city-based clients across a range of industries including logistics, waste management, manufacturing and media.
Steven Smith specialises in construction dispute matters, contractual disputes, debt claims and professional negligence. He also has experience in other forms of dispute resolution, in particular mediation and adjudication.
James Constable is part of the criminal team and has expertise in a number of specialist areas including; motoring offences, victim’s rights and HMRC investigations. He is also a solicitor advocate and has represented clients in the Magistrates Court, Crown Court and Court of Appeal.
Beth Miel is promoted to senior associate in the corporate and commercial practice. Beth works with a variety of clients including start-ups, family-owned businesses, international organisations, banks and high net worth individuals seeking investment opportunities. Beth is regarded as a ‘key lawyer’ by the independent legal directory The Legal 500 UK.
The firm’s operations team have seen promotions in marketing and facilities. Ella Minson is promoted to Creative Marketing Executive and Adam Cahill to Facilities and Health & Safety Officer.
