Awdry Law Golf Day 2026 raises over £12,000 for baby loss charity Sands

Awdry Law are delighted to announce the resounding success of their 2026 Charity Golf Day, held on 10th September 2026 at Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort.

The event brought together 92 guests from a wide range of leading businesses across the South West and beyond, in a united effort to support Sands, the UK’s leading pregnancy and baby loss charity.

The day raised an impressive total of £12,019.92 with there being an excellent opportunity for this to be doubled under the ‘Big Give Campaign 2026’.

The day featured a host of competitions and challenges, including a closest to the pin simulator challenge, ‘beat the pro’, and the opportunity to roll the dice and ‘take the pro’s drive’ on the 10th hole, alongside a full round of golf and plenty of networking opportunities. This was followed by a delicious BBQ-style dinner, prize giving and auction.

Guests enjoyed outstanding hospitality courtesy of Mark Sealey and the team at Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort, whose support throughout the day helped make the event a huge success.

Tim Hotchkiss, Partner and Head of Land & Development at Awdry Law, said: “This is the largest and most successful charity golf day we have ever hosted as a business and we are exceptionally proud to have been able to raise such a significant sum for Sands. The weather was kind to us fortunately and we have received so many positive comments from those that attended.

We could not have done it without the support of Mark Sealey and the team at Bowood, nor without the sterling efforts of Awdry Law’s very own organising committee who worked tirelessly behind the scenes and the army of volunteers on hand to ensure that the day ran smoothly.  I witnessed many interactions between our volunteers and attendees with great pride.  They really are a credit to Awdry Law and a testament to the positive culture that we strive for as a business.

Finally, I want to place on record my sincere gratitude for the support and generosity shown by everyone that attended, not to mention our hole sponsors and donors.  Your support really does make a huge difference.”

Chloȅ Brunton-Dunn, Senior Partnerships Officer for Sands, said:  “We are so grateful to Awdry Law for their support of Sands. It’s been fantastic to see colleagues come together to hold a successful Golf Day, and the team have raised a brilliant amount with their efforts.

This fundraising will help to make a huge difference to our life-saving work at Sands, the positive impact of Awdry Law’s partnership with Sands will help us to reach more people with the support that they need after pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.”
