Aura Technology strengthens AI team with customer-focused appointment

IT managed services provider Aura Technology has appointed Lewis Pugh as Customer AI Solutions Lead, expanding the company’s growing AI team as demand for practical, governed AI adoption continues to rise among SMEs.

Lewis joins Head of AI Adam Galfskiy in Aura’s dedicated AI function, bringing specialist skills in Microsoft Copilot and Azure AI. Having spent several years on Aura’s engineering team supporting customers across its managed IT service, he brings direct knowledge of how organisations in the South of England operate and where AI can make a genuine difference to day-to-day workflows.

His new remit focuses exclusively on helping customers embed AI into live operational environments, spanning Microsoft Copilot adoption, Azure AI projects, automation initiatives and the governance frameworks needed to ensure responsible and compliant use.

The appointment follows Adam Galfskiy’s recent move into the Head of AI role and builds on Aura’s Microsoft Solutions Partner designation in Data & AI.

Lewis Pugh said: “For most SMEs, the opportunity with AI isn’t about experimenting with new tools. It’s about improving how existing processes run.

“When AI is integrated properly into Microsoft environments and governed carefully, it can reduce repetitive workload, surface the right information faster and support better decisions. My role is to ensure that happens in a structured and commercially meaningful way.”

Tim Walker, Founder and Managing Director at Aura Technology, said: “AI is becoming a core part of how modern organisations operate, and having dedicated expertise in the team means our customers have the leadership and accountability to adopt these technologies in a way that’s both compliant and commercially relevant.

“Lewis knows our customers well. Bringing that experience into a focused AI role means we can move faster and deliver better outcomes.”
