B Corp champion and net zero hero set to talk at Networking in…..

The Networking in… team are counting down days to a talk by the one and only Mark Cuddigan on “B corp.” Be the change you want to see. It’s been a long time coming, and on March 15th, 2023, it’s finally happening.

Mark is the CEO of Ella’s Kitchen, whose mission is to improve children’s lives through developing healthy relationships with food. They are also deeply committed to spearheading a different kind of business model that is both ethical and sustainable, and are a Certified B Corporation.

He is a firm believer that if we’re to achieve the net zero goal of cutting greenhouse gas emissions to as close to zero as possible, we’ve got to collaborate. When it comes to the environment, we can’t compete. We’ve all got to hold hands and help each other.

Mark Cuddigan said, “Speaking about B corp is something I’m really passionate about, so I’m excited about this event. I firmly believe that if companies changed the way they measure success in business, rather than being just about profit, measuring its impact on people and the planet too, then actually we’ll be more successful.”

Networking in, which has been in operation for the last 5 years, attracts 30+ small business owners every month. The company, owned by Peter and Sarah Mols, strongly believes in the B corp movement and subsequently the principles of sustainable business.

Peter Mols said, “It’s a really timely topic for us at Networking in…I strongly believe that every small business should get involved in the B corp in one way or another for the greater good of all.”

When it comes to sustainability, small businesses have a big role to play in the climate fight. They make up roughly 90% of businesses worldwide, and the small actions on a local level add up.

The online event is set to take place on March 15th, 2023 from 7:30 am – 9 am. Tickets are going for £10. If you want to find out more about the event and register click here.
