Terraguard Technologies is now ADISA ITAD Essentials Certified

Terraguard Technologies is now ADISA ITAD Essentials Certified at Silver level. It is a goal the company has worked towards since it was founded in 2024. The certification follows a two-day independent audit of how the company collects, tracks, secures and erases retired business IT.

ADISA Certification is a UK certification body that specialises in data sanitisation and IT asset disposal. Its ITAD Essentials audit tests a company against six areas of risk: logistics, asset management, chain of custody, physical security, data sanitisation and process control.
A qualified ADISA auditor and ADISA technical expert carry out the assessment together. Day one tested the potential risks inside Terraguard’s core ITAD processes. Day two was a live technical test of its data sanitisation, covering its tools, procedures, quality control and the competence of its team.

For an IT manager handing over old laptops, servers and phones, the certificate means independent proof. Their data is protected from the moment Terraguard’s team loads the van to the moment each drive is erased or destroyed. It sits alongside Terraguard’s ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001 certifications.

Natalie King-Barnard, Commercial Director, said

We’re incredibly proud to be awarded this certification. When you’re trusted with erasing data from businesses’ retired IT equipment, having independent verification of how secure your processes are goes a long way in demonstrating the strength of your service

She added: “This has been our goal since the day we started. It took a long time and a huge amount of effort from the whole team, and we believe it opens doors for our business. Thank you to everyone at Terraguard, to ADISA, and to the clients who supported us in our journey.”

Terraguard erases and refurbishes the equipment it collects so it can be reused. The certification shows that a reuse-first approach and strict data security can run as one process.
