Saffery appoints Emma Lane as Head of Client Development, South

Top 15 accountancy and business advisory firm, Saffery, has appointed Emma Lane as its southern based Head of Client Development, South.  The role has been created to drive client growth across the south of England as the firm continues to invest in building a scalable, national approach to client development.

Emma will work closely with David Melloy, who was appointed National Head of Client Development in April, alongside Richard Crook, Saffery’s Marketing and Business Development Director, and Tom Williams, who recently joined the firm as Client Development Manager, North. She will also work alongside Saffery’s established 23-strong marketing and business development team.

With responsibilities across the Bournemouth, Bristol and High Wycombe offices, Emma brings more than 20 years’ experience spanning banking, fintech, financial services and professional services. She specialises in helping organisations grow through strategic partnerships, commercial development, customer-focused transformation and strong relationship management.

Before joining Saffery, Emma held senior leadership roles at Moneycorp, Allica Bank, AIB, Lloyds Bank and Barclays, working across business development, client relationship management, commercial banking, risk, transformation and partnerships.

Richard Crook, Marketing and Business Development Director at Saffery comments

We’re pleased to welcome Emma to Saffery at an exciting stage in the firm’s growth. Her extensive experience across banking, financial services and professional services, combined with her strong commercial mindset and relationship-building expertise, make her an excellent fit for this role.

Commenting on her role Emma advised

Saffery’s ambition to build a genuinely national, client-first approach to growth is what attracted me to this role. The South has a strong and diverse business base, and I’m looking forward to using my network and experience to help the firm deepen existing relationships and build new ones across the region
