A Project Management Training Success Story

Oxford College of Management recently supported Catrin Evans in developing her project management capability through a series of professional qualifications, helping her apply structured approaches to complex projects across global health, data and science.

Catrin began her project management training journey after attending the APM Women in Project Management Conference, where she met the Oxford College of Management team and learned more about structured project methodologies. Shortly afterwards, she enrolled on the AgilePM Foundation and Practitioner courses, marking the start of her continued professional development.

Speaking about her experience, Catrin said:

“Continuing to motivate and challenge myself is vital. Applying the learning directly to my role has been incredibly rewarding and has given me opportunities to add real value across the projects I work on.”

Throughout her studies, Catrin used a blend of learning methods, including online resources, revision tools and practical simulations, enabling her to tailor her learning to fit around work commitments. She highlights the importance of understanding your own learning style and building study habits that support long-term success.

The training has strengthened Catrin’s capability across key areas such as risk and issue management, planning, quality and governance, all of which are now embedded in her day-to-day project work. She credits the qualifications with helping her take on greater responsibility, collaborate more effectively with colleagues and contribute more strategically to organisational objectives.

Reflecting on her learning experience, Catrin added:

“The support from Oxford College of Management has been excellent. The courses created a safe, encouraging environment where collaboration and practical learning really stood out.”

Oxford College of Management delivers a range of Leadership and Management and Project Management qualifications designed to support professionals at all stages of their careers.
