Activate Learning receives additional government funding to meet high demand for adult courses

Activate Learning has received an uplift in its government allocation for Advanced Learner Loans of £390,104.

The uplift will enable the education group to offer more loan-funded places on online courses that are Level 3 and above and allow it to recruit an additional 125 learners as they take the next step in their professional journeys.

The uplift will support a wide range of online Access to HE programmes, including diplomas in Business, Psychology and Health.

Earlier in the year, Activate Learning reached its original government-set allocation sooner than expected due to exceptionally high demand and the growing popularity of its Adult Education learning programmes.

This strong interest reflected a growing commitment in adult learners to upskill, retrain, and progress in their careers.

Jon Adams, Chief Strategy Officer at Activate Learning, said: “We are delighted to have secured this additional funding. Our online Access to HE programmes were created to provide opportunities for people who would otherwise not be able to engage in higher education.

“The online delivery model has helped thousands of learners access flexible and personalised support from expert tutors.

“This additional funding will help many more learners to transform their lives through learning.”
