Scannappeal Creates Healthcare Pathway Through ‘The Giving Tree’

Businesses have been offered the chance to support significant advancement of breast cancer screening in local communities through Scannappeal’s launch of The Giving Tree – Circles of Support.

A special initiative has been launched that recognises contributions to the Mobile Breast Screening Appeal which funds a state-of-the-art mobile screening unit, supporting 10,000 women per year with improved diagnostic mammogram equipment, better access to services closer to their home, and greater peace of mind.

A striking Giving Tree design incorporating circles of support will be proudly displayed on the side of the new mobile mammography unit, with each circle representing a business, individual or community group whose generosity has helped make this critical service possible.

Through adding the business name to the tree, the business and employees become part of a life-changing community, remaining visible to thousands of local people every year, as the mobile unit travels around.

Every gift makes The Giving Tree grow on the side of the mobile unit.

Lorraine Kelly, the Appeal Ambassador commented that “this is about more than equipment, it’s about saving lives…This Appeal will make the greatest difference by taking screening right into the heart of our communities.”

Critically all donations to Scannappeal’s Appeal using The Giving Tree will be matched pound for pound through the generosity of a local supporter – your support will go twice as far.

Scannappeal’s CEO, Karen Shardlow, in launching this initiative said “Early detection in breast cancer care is vital. This long-term equipment forms part of a transforming pathway to better community healthcare. If your business’s responsible business strategy includes a pillar on health and wellbeing or needs a cause that tangibly builds early diagnostic capacity in the NHS, please consider being part of The Giving Tree.”
