Swindon Carers Centre is excited to unveil a fully redesigned website, aimed at enhancing its support for the 18,000+ unpaid carers across Swindon, created by purpose-led creative agency, GEL Studios.
Since 1997, the charity has been a lifeline for unpaid carers, and with demand continually growing, this rebrand and website redesign is a crucial part of continuing to support carers in Swindon and maintaining strong connections with both current and potential donors.
Between 2023 and 2024, registrations for support services increased by 12%. However, despite the rising demand, funding has not kept pace. Collaborating with GEL Studios has meant the centre is now able to chart a new course.
In December 2024, GEL Studios named Swindon Carers Centre their 2025 Charity of the Year, pledging a year of creative support across website, branding, marketing and design to help the charity overcome these challenges.
The rebranding process kicked off with a pivotal Brand Messaging Workshop, led by GEL Studios, where the centre’s mission and vision were redefined. The outcome is bold, updated messaging that reflects the charity’s core values of compassion, care, and support while addressing the growing needs of the Swindon community. The centre’s new messaging is now ready to engage supporters across all digital channels and draw in new donors who share its vision.
After the workshop, the new website was designed and developed with a focus on simplicity and functionality, serving as an accessible hub for unpaid carers, professionals, and supporters. For carers, the new website offers quick access to essential services and resources, helping them find the support they need during critical moments. The modern branding throughout the site reinforces the centre’s mission, presenting a fresh and impactful online presence that reflects the centre’s commitment to the community.
In addition to the website redesign, GEL Studios has created a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive the centre’s growth throughout 2025. This strategy includes digital advertising, email marketing campaigns, and PR initiatives aimed at boosting awareness, fostering donor loyalty, and securing essential funding through crowdfunding efforts.
Bronte Hague, Head of Finances and Resources, at Swindon Carers Centre, said:
“Swindon Carers Centre are incredibly grateful for the exceptional support and services provided by GEL Studios. They took the time to thoroughly understand our goals and created a strategy that will have a lasting impact on our organisation. Their responsiveness and dedication to understanding who we are and what we do has been truly incredible.
We were able to make full use of their creative services, including website design, marketing, and workshops, to support our efforts. The team at GEL quickly grasped our language and purpose, producing excellent documentation and an amazing new website that truly captures our brand and purpose as a charity.
As a charity, finding resources and skills to lead impactful work can be challenging, but GEL Studios has greatly helped us in this regard. We were invited into GEL Studios to get creative and think openly, making the brainstorming session about our purpose and identity as a charity both enjoyable and exciting.
GEL Studios genuinely wants to help us and has provided all the support we could have imagined. Their collaborative partnership has been invaluable, and we look forward to continuing to work closely with them to achieve our charitable objectives!”
Graeme Leighfield, founder of GEL Studios, said:
Businesses have a unique opportunity – and responsibility – to give back, and as we grow, we’re honoured to amplify our impact within our community. Seeing the new brand and website come to life is a testament to the dedication of both the GEL Studios team and the incredible work done by Swindon Carers Centre. This next year will be crucial for the centre, and I’m confident that with our continued support, they will be able to rise to the challenge and continue providing vital services to those who need it most in Swindon.
